SOME THINGS EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD DO

 

John 2:5  His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.

I.     EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD BE SAVED

Isa 45:22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

A.   Why? People are lost.   Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

B.    When? Now    Isa 45:22  Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

C.    How?  By Grace.   Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

 

II.     EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD BE IN A CHURCH

Heb 10:25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

WHAT KIND OF CHURCH?

A.    One that exposes sin.    Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

B.    One that offers Salvation.   Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

C.     One tht exalts the Saviour.    John 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

 

III.     EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD KNOW GOD’S WORD

2 Tim 2:15  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

A.   The Word enlightens.    Psa 119:105  Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

B.    The Word encourages.  Josh 1:9  Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

C.    The Word endures.    1 Pet 1:25  But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

 

IV.     EVERY INDIVIDUAL SHOULD TITHE

Mal 3:10  Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

A.    What is the tithe?   A tenth.

B.     When do we tithe?   1 Cor 16:2  Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

C.     Where do we tithe?    Upon the first day of the week
