REVIVAL

Psalms 85:6 Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

 

I.    WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD

I  Samuel  2:30  Wherefore the  Lord  God  of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever:  but  now the  Lord  saith,  Be  it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and  they  that  despise  me  shall  be  lightly esteemed.

Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

 

II.    WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD’S WORD

Psalms  138:2   I  will  worship  toward  thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness  and  for  thy  truth:  for  thou  hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

 

III.    WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD’S HOUSE

Psalms 26:8 Lord, I have loved the habit­ation of thy house,  and the place where thine honour dwelleth.

Hebrews 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.

       

IV.        WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD WITH MONEY

Proverbs  3:9  Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

 

V.           WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD’S MAN

1 Timothy 5:17  Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

1 Timothy 5:18  For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Hebrews 13:7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

 

VII.    WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD’S BLOOD

Hebrews 9:22  And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

 

VIII.  WE NEED A REVIVAL THAT WILL HONOR GOD’S GRACE

Romans 5:20  Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

John 1:17  For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Ephesians 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.
