JESUS LOVES ME, THIS I KNOW

I John 4:19  We love him, because he first loved us.

I.    BECAUSE THE  BIBLE TELLS ME SO.

Romans 5:8  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 15:13  Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

II.       BECAUSE THE BLESSED SPIRIT ASSURES IT TO BE SO.

Romans  8:16  The  Spirit  itself  beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the child­ren of God;"

John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

Ephesians 1:13  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

III.   BECAUSE THE BLOOD OF CHRIST CONFIRMS IT TO BE SO.

Hebrews 9:22   And almost all things are by the law purged with blood: and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

I John 1:7  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

IV.            BECAUSE THE BOUNTIFUL WAY GOD CARES FOR ME.

Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Philipians 4:19  But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

  V.            BECAUSE THE  BRETHREN SHOW ME SO.

Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

I Thess.  4:9  But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

  VI.   BECAUSE TO A BURNING HELL I WILL NEVER GO. Ecclesiastes 3:14  I  know that, whatsoever God doeth it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.

  VII.   BECAUSE OF THE BELIEVERS' HOPE WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO.

Titus 2:13   Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

I Thess. 2:13  For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
