Across the country today there is a growing realization of the need
of a Spiritual revival in our generation. Even the Sinners realize something
has got to happen. Here we deal with some simple thoughts about the need of
revival and the kind of revival we need.

THE NEED OF REVIVAL...

Manifested in our culture...

Permissive society

Perverted society

Pleasure mad society
B.
Manifested in our country.. .Prov. 14:34; Prov. 29:2; Psalms
9:17
Prov 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
Prov 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

Manifested in our churches... By:
Rebellion
instead of repentance
Excuses
instead of excitement
Vanity
instead of victory
Indifference
instead of involvement
Vagueness
instead of vision
Arguments
instead of ambition
Laziness
instead of liveliness
II.
THE NATURE OF REVIVAL WE NEED...
Not
just a series of services, but a revival that will affect our total being,
MIND, SOUL, & BODY
A.
One that will affect our thinking... our MIND
-About
sin, the Saviour, the scripture about supplication, about souls, etc.
B.
One that will affect our loving.. our SOUL
-Our
desires will affect our doings...
-Love
for the will, work, and word of God
C.
One that will affect our doing, our BODY
-Real
repentance will change our lives
III.
THE NECESSITY OF REVIVAL...
For
our culture, our country, and our churches,
IT'S
REVIVAL OR PERISH, IF WE DON'T HAVE ONE:
A.
We will loose our freedom of worship
B.
We will loose our fellowship with God
C.
We will loose our families & friends to sin
