ME YOUR BODY

Rom
12:1 I beseech you therefore,
brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

12:2 And be not conformed to
this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Intro:
There is a lot of talk about giving God your heart in Salvation.
Today
I want to talk about you giving God your bodies in Service...
Notice
the trinity of mankind...

With our mind we learn…

With our heart we love…
3.
With our bodies we labor…
I.
THE APPEAL.. I beseech
you that ye present...
1.
As a Temple...l Cor. 3:16, a place for worship.
I
Cor 3:16 Know ye not that ye
are the temple of God, and that the Spirit
of
God
dwelleth in you?
2.
As a Tabernacle...l Cor. 6:19-20, a dwelling place.

Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy
Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with
a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are
God's.

As a Treasure... Eph. 5:29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh;
but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:

As a Testimony... II Cor. 3:2 Ye
are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

THE ACTION... Present your bodies...
God
wants you to make a present of your body and give to Him on the
altar:
1.
As a Sacrificed Body... Dead to Self
2.
As a Sanctified Body... Disciplined to Sin
3.
As a Servants Body... Dedicated to Serve
III.
THE ARGUMENT.. Which is your reasonable service..
1.
As your Duty...l Cor. 6:19-20, God bought you

Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy
Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
I
Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with
a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are
God's.

As your Desire. ..Psalms 27:4 One thing have I desired of the LORD,
that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the
days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his
temple.
3.
As your Delight...Psalms 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart.
IV.
THE ATTITUDE.. .Be not conformed, but be transformed..
1.
To be conformed means to be controlled by the things of this world.
2.
To be transformed means to be changed by the truths of the Word
of
God...
V.
THE ARGUMENT.. .That ye may prove...
When
you present your body:
1.
The mind is satisfied...Phil. 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep
your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
2.
The Master is glorified...Matt. 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good
works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
3.
Men are edified...Matt. 5:16
Remember:
When
you are on the throne of your life, Christ is being executed, When Christ in
on the throne, you are being executed.
