WORK OF EVIL SPIRITS

Tim 4:1- 5
Intro:
Recently the world was shocked by the news of over 900 people committing
suicide in a religious cult in Jonestown Guyana, South America.
Many
people are asking the question,
"Why"? Today I want to answer this question by the help of the Holy
Spirit from the Word of God......
One
of the most underestimated powers of this day is the power of the evil
spirits.

IN OUR PAST:

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

IN JESUS' DAY: Mark 5:1-5;
Luke 8:27
A.
He wouldn't dress right.....Luke 8:27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.

He wouldn't stay home.......Luke 8:27
C.
He wouldn't listen to others....Mark 5:3
Mark 5:3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:

He wouldn't be bound......Mark 5:3-4

Mark 5:4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.

He wouldn't be satisfied....Mark 5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.

IN THE LAST DAYS ... I Tim 4:1-5
1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1 Tim 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1 Tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
1 Tim 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
1 Tim 4:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Acts 19:14 And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
Acts 19:16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
