Intro: There are certain physical marks which mark some families. Also there
are some marks which help identify the children of God.
I.
THEY HAVE THE LIFE OF GOD....John 11:25
John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
A. The Quality of Their Life, Eternal the Very Life of God.-.John 3:15
John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
B.
The Quantity of Their Life, Everlasting.. John 3:16; John 5:24
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
C.
The Quota of Their Life....John 10:10
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

THEY HAVE THE LIGHT OF GOD....I John 1:5
1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

THEY HAVE THE LOVE OF GOD....I John 4:11
1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
A.
Love for the Scriptures....Paslm 1:1-3
Psalm
1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Love for the Saints...I John 3:14
1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Love for the Sinners....John 3:16

THEY HAVE THE LONGING FOR GOD....

A Longing for God's Reality... I John 4:11 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

A Longing for God's Reviving....Heb 3:2

3:2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

A Longing for God's Return....Acts 1:9-11
Acts 1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Acts 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
