Enoch
is one of the most unusual characters in the Word of God....
—Two
men in the Bible are said to have walked with God—Enoch and Noah
—Two
men left this world without dying—Enoch and Elijah
—Three
things happened on his 65th birthday
1.
He became a Father....
2.
He became a Follower of God....
3.
He became a Faithful Preacher....
TONIGHT
WE LOOK AT FOUR IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE LIFE OF ENOCH....
I.
HIS TRANSFORMATION....Gen 5:21-22
Gen 5:21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah:
Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
A.
He heard a message....Cp Rom 10:17
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
-Remember Enoch was about 300 before Adam died....
B. He heeded the message....Heb 11:5-6
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
C.
He heralded the message....Jude 14-15
Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
Jude 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
II.
HIS TRANSPORTATION....V 22, Walked With God
Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:

The Period—wicked days before flood.
B. The Plan-note three things are needful to walk together.
There must be:
1.
A meeting place....Blood
2.
A marked path....Bible
3.
A mutual pace....Blessing
III.
HIS TRANSLATION....V 24, God Took Him
Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
A. A
trip into God's presence....
B. A type in God's pictures....the rapture
C. A truth in God's prophecy....
-Enoch
went up before the flood....
-Lot
went out before the fire....
-Elijah
went up before the fall....
Enoch
is a type of the church going up before the tribulation and
Noah is a type of Israel going thru the tribulation period.
