The Battle Is The Lord's

Battered and scarred, but praise the Lord the victory is won,

Victory has been given us because of God's dear Son.

Thanks be to God for the victory He gives today,

Thank God for the obstacles He has moved out of the way.

Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised,

Praise Him for the faltering hand he has raised.

The battle is the Lord's, He is in full control,

Upon the Lord all my burdens I will roll.

A little season of trouble and care,

Then, forever, peace and victory when we get over there.

Though the battle has been hard and difficult to fight,

Yet, God has brought us thru by His power and might.

Satan may win a skirmish, but the Lord is victor over all,

He will help us to win, when upon Him we earnestly call.

My trust is in the Lord, please increase my faith today,

Give me the mind of Christ now, I humbly pray.

It will be worth it all when we look upon His face,

Thank God for the provision of His mighty grace.

The battle is the Lord's, the victory He has won,

He has given us victory in the race we have run.
