RESURRECTION HOPE

In a garden near a place called Calvary is an empty tomb,
Condemned by Jewish leaders, Roman soldiers sealed His doom.
Soldiers were sent to guard the tomb, Christ's grave,
They had hoped to keep Him sealed in that hillside cave.

But after three days and nights an earthquake came,
And since that time mankind has never been the same.
The grave could not hold Him, God's beloved Son,
He arose from the dead, the victory had been won.

Because Christ arose, we have hope to rise from the dead,
We should have gone to Hell, But Christ took our place instead.
No more condemnation, No more fear of the grave,
We have resurrection hope, because Christ rose from the dead.

One day for the saints the trumpet of God will sound,
Then the saints that are dead shall rise from the ground.
We who are alive and on this earth still remain,
We shall be changed instantly, a new body to gain.

Resurrection Hope, Praise the Lord for a risen Lord!
We too shall be resurrected according to God's Holy Word.
Our Blessed Hope is to meet our Lord in the air,
To be forever with Him and His glory share.
