Praying In The Will of God

One great need among all Christians today,

As the Disciples asked Christ, "Lord teach us to pray."

We need to come apart where it is quiet and still,

And reflect upon God's word and seek His Holy Will.

For every Christian's life God has a wonderful plan,

And God's will we learn and clearly understand.

Where does God want me to go and what does He want me to do?

We need to know the perfect will of God, that is forever true.

Wherever He sends us, Whatever He wants us to be,

Whatever it costs, it's the best plan for you and me.

We must count the cost of following our wonderful Lord,

And follow the truths we have learned from God's Holy Word.

Wherever God leads, Whatever the time and the cost,

We must follow the will of God or we will suffer loss.

Whatever it takes to bring us close to thee,

May we count the cost for time and for eternity.

Many things in this life of which we do not know,

But the Word of God, His will to us He will show.

Lord help me to be willing whatever it may take,

God's will is perfect and He makes no mistake.

The Holy Spirit will lead us into the paths we must trod,

And He will teach us in everything, the perfect will of God.

So take time to get alone and meditate and be still,

The best plan for your life and mine is to know God's perfect will.
