MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT LIFE

How long 0 Lord, the pain and suffering of this life?

  How long must we contend with all this trouble and strife?

  How long must we be weary and tired and find little rest?

  When we work and pray and try to give God our very best.

  How long must we endure those who insult thy wondrous grace?

  And have no time for Thee, as we labor in this place.

  How long will men reject the gift of God's dear Son?

  How long will men deny the victory our Lord has won?

  So many questions, many answers we do not know,

  But in His mercy, His love and grace He doth show.

  Perhaps in the by and by when we see His lovely face,

  We will  understand the marvels of God's long suffering and grace.

  Until that day when we shall see Him who came and died for us,

  God help us to humbly bow our heads and in our Saviour fully trust.

  For some day we shall see Him face to face,

  And there thank Him for His mercy and grace.
