LORD HELP US TO BE LIKE THEE

What would this world be,

  If every person were just  like me?

  What would  life down here be,

  If everyone thought just like me?

  As a man thinks in his heart so is he, the Bible doth say,

  Lord help me to think right in this world I humbly pray.

  Lord help me to be loving and  kind,

  And to keep the Lord sweet on my mind.

  Help me to think pure thoughts good and clean,

  Make me to be a kind person, not one that is mean.

  Help me to do unto others as would have them do to me,

  The the light of Christ be seen always full and free.

  We only pass thru this life but one time,

  May we live life to the fullest, yours and mine.

  Let my life shine as a light in a dark place,

  And may men see the love of Thy marvelous grace.

  Lord I give my mind and my heart unto thee,

  Take them and use them to help set poor sinners free,

  May my life be filled with the fragrance of God's love,

  That I may help point others to a better land above.
