God's Victory Over Worry

It is a sin for us to worry and fret,

The things we worry about have not happened yet.

When we worry and fret, we are not trusting His grace,

To give us the strength to face the task in this place.

Being anxious will not solve one problem today,

We find the answers when we take time to stop and pray.

Lord, increase my faith today, help me to rise above my fear,

Help me to know thy divine presence is always near.

God has been so good to us, He has net every single need,

He paid for our sins when upon the cross He did bleed.

Lord, teach me to rest in thee, despite anxiety and care,

And in the pressures of this day, to know that You are there.

Keep my focus on Christ who has power over it all,

And I know He will meet me when I humbly call.

Great is the Lord, in Him I will rest my case,

Thank God for His mercy, love and marvelous grace.
