Praise The Lord For A Godly Pastor

A Godly Pastor is what every church needs today.

Every church needs a man sold out to God in every way.

A Godly Pastor visits the sick and helps those who are down,

He encourages the believers with a smile instead of a frown.

 

A Godly Pastor spends much time in Intercessory Prayer,

And if you have a problem, he is always there.

A Godly Pastor is on call 24 hours a day,

And when you are discouraged, he has a good word to say.

 

A Godly Pastor spends much time in the study of God's word,

He does his best to make his sermons the best you ever heard.

When death takes a loved one, and your heart is broken and sad,

A good pastor is always there, in good times and in the bad.

 

A Godly Pastor weeps over the waywardness of many of his flock,

He urges them to be true to God and to stand firm as a rock.

A church rises or falls on its leadership, May God help it to be right,

And thank God for a Godly Pastor, who will not give up in the fight.

 

Love your Pastor and appreciate him too,

And encourage him in all that he has to do.

Don't be a Spectator, be a Participator instead,

Thank God for a Godly Pastor who his sheep have gently led.

 

Take time to encourage your Pastor and hold up his hand,

He is your friend and will always try to understand.

God has been good to Lighthouse Baptist Church in every way,

With the help of a Godly Pastor, this church faces a brighter day.
