The Everlasting Hope of Spring

The winter winds howl and the air is cold and chill,
The weather is desolate and dreary as the earth it does fill.
Snow piles high and sometimes roads are treacherous and slick,
With colds and flu and pneumonia and a lot of folks getting sick.

If there is one hope to you I can possibly bring,
Lift up your heads and smile, It will soon be Spring!
Gone will be the dead of winter with its foul weather and cold,
And the hope of Springtime is one that never grows tired or old.

Spring is a time when the sun shines and the song birds sing,
And new life emerges from the earth, what a beautiful thing!
As long as the earth remaineth, the seasons will change,
And the conditions of the weather will God rearrange.

In the winter despair when you feel at the end of your rope,
There is the joy of knowing in the Spring there is hope.
God brings us thru each season and helps us look ahead,
It is God who gives us mercy and hope and daily bread.

In every part of life's plan and scope,
In the Spring there is the joy of new hope.
God loves us in every way and everything,
And blesses us by giving us the Hope of Spring!
