America’s Wake Up Call

For many years God has blessed America as no other nation on earth,

We have been proud of men who lived and died, men of noble birth.

God has blessed America, as no other nation has ever been known,

And America should have been giving praise to God on His throne.

But during the past fifty years we have slipped away from God,

And we have wandered far away from the bible on this earth’s sod.

We have taken prayer out of schools and forbidden the bible to be read,

We have thrown god out and worshipped money and materialism instead.

The Bible says, “Be not deceived, God is not mocked,” we shall reap what we sow,

And on this earth departing from god has caused us such sinful shame to know.

September 11, 2001, Terrorists attacked the World Trade Towers with stolen airplanes,

And they attacked the Pentagon with another stolen plane by taking careful pains.

Another plane aimed for the White House, but passengers managed to deter,

A terrorist attack on main land America, we never thought it could happen here.

They tried to kill our President, but God helped him escape their attempt to kill,

We had better thank god they did not crash a plane into Congress on Capitol Hill.

God has been good to America and given us the very best,

Now our faith in God is being put to a very grueling test.

Where are the infidels and the ACLU and those who America hate,

They can offer no comfort, for those killed, they are too late.

Our President has called for a National Day of Remembrance and Prayer,

How our country needs to respond and meet at the church house there.

And pray to God in Heaven to forgive our national sins and leaving God out,

If America responds and repents of sin and gets right, revival will come no doubt.

This is a wake up call, the great tribulation looms very near,

Thousands have died and millions are filled with dread and fear.

Our only hope to survive is to repent and turn to God today,

Tomorrow may be too late, so now is the time to stop and pray.

In times past, God has stopped armies and defeated the foe,

He has delivered His people for utter destruction and woe.

So today if we return to God and repent and pray,

We can thank God for the wake up call he gives America today!
