INTRODUCTION:

1. The sounding of trumpets in scripture is a symbol of power and authority.

2. The study of: Sounding of trumpets in scripture is interesting and intriguing:

3. Trumpets were sounded to:

a. Call an assembly

b. For a march

c. Alert, alarm, enemy

d. Celebrations

e. Feasts

f. Summons 

g. Offerings

h. Weddings - March

4. Num. Ch. 10

5. There is:

a. Trumpet of warning - Danger coming
b. Trumpet of redemption - liberation
c. Trumpet of Resurrection - raising of dead
d. Trumpet of judgment - signal judgment
Type - Joshua - Jericho... Deliverance

6. These trumpets in Rev - Sound an alarm of war
(It is - War of Heaven against earth)

7. The (7) seals bring forth judgments which are the natural
results of sinful man apart from God.

8. The (7) trumpets bring forth God's direct and supernatural
judgments on a rebellious race.

9. The first (4 trumpets and 1st 4 vials) concern the realm
of nature.

10. Trumpets 5-7 - Deal with realm of demons
Supernatural judgments - called (Woes)

11. Most of the destructive powers of others affect only (1/3) of objects involved.
Ezek. 5:2

1. Each of the last (3) judgments - called (Woes)

2. (5) of (9) plagues on Egypt are repeated during the
tribulation period.

3. Situation Reversed: In Egypt children of Esrael

escaped... here they suffer.

1. (7) - The perfect number

2. (8) - The number of new beginning

3. In Rev. all things are made new...

4. First is the trumpet of Resurrection: 1:10, 4:1
a. It is the trumpet of salvation
b. It is the trumpet of victory
