INTRO: V. l - 3 - The binding of satan is necessary for the establishment
of the Millennial Reign of Christ.
The Word: (Millennial) comes from (2) Latin words:

Mille = 1,000........Annus = Year = 1,000 years

It is the last of (7) dispensations - It is the kingdom age.
Corresponds to the Sabbath Day of creation...

 

THE DURATION = 1,000 years.

The phrase is used (6) times in this
chapter.

1. Satan is bound 1,000 years. V.2

2. Devil deceived nations no more till 1,000 years finished. V.5

3. Resurrected saints reign and rule with Christ 1,000 yrs. V.4

4. Rest of dead live not again until 1,000 yrs. finished. V.5
5. Resurrected shall be priests of God reign for 1,000 yrs. V.6
6. Satan loosed out of prison at end of 1,000 yrs. V. 7

 

THE CHARACTER AND NATURE OF THIS WORLD-WIDE RULE OF CHRIST

THE LAST REVOLT   Rev. 20: 7-10

The order of events at the close of the Millennial Reign:

1. Satan loosed... V. 7

1. Every dispensation ends with man's revolt against God, and
God's judgment...This one is no different.

2. God permits this so that the absolute corruption of man may
be demonstrated.

2. The nations^ of the earth will be once again deceived by the devil.

2. Many will seem to obey Christ during this age, but when opportunity presents itself, they will revolt and follow the devil

THIS IS THE ONLY JUDGMENT OF THE WICKED DEAD;

THE THRONE: White - Purity. Righteous judgment dispersed here.

THE OCCUPANT: The lord Jesus Christ - The Son of God.

THE RESULT:

1. The renovation of the earth...V. 11

THE SUBJECTS: V.12

1. All the wicked dead...This is the 2nd resurrection...

2. It is the dead; Physically and spiritually...Eph. 2:1

3. Be no living at this judgment...

4. All who were not in the first resurrection..V.5

 

THE BASIS OF THIS JUDGMENT;

1. Character: What you are...

2. Conduct: What you do...works...V.13: Result of Character

3. Treatment of the Son of God.

THE STANDARD OF THE JUDGMENT:

1. The Books; Could mean the (66) books of the Bible

Could mean: God's record books of deeds..

2. The Book of Life:

1. God's record book of names of those who have received
life by receiving Him who is life. God's son.........

2. None of the judged are recorded in this book.

THE SAD RESULTS: V.14 & 15

1. Bodies and souls of these cast into the Lake of Fire.

2. This is the second death...This means eternal separation
from God.

3. None are saved at this judgment.

4. Christ has been rejected in life, now, at the second
resurrection there is no life...all is death.........
