THE SEVEN SEAL JUDGMENT

1. The tribulation judgments of God are sealed, not be opened until
after rapture-church

2. Parallel between these seal judgments and Matthew 24.

3. A sense in which these signs and plagues apply to tills
entire age - reach climax and fulfillment in tribulation period.

4. There is a break: Between 6 and 7 seal 6 and 7 trumpet-- 6th and 7th vial.

 

6:1 It is the Lamb who opens the book...

1. Key to future destiny in hands of Lamb, not in man

2. Openings of 1st seal marks beginning of tribulation

3. Judgments increase: with intensity and severity.

4. The thunder: Speaks of approaching storm - First the raining of God's judgments.

Vs. 2 The Rider on the White Horse - The antichrist

1. He imitates Christ... Rev. 19:11

2. Horse - mobility... white - peace - went forth - world-wide movement - banner.

3. Indicates peaceful aggression

4. Scene seems peaceful - but thunder of vs. 1 indicates a coming storm...

5. The antichrist is the deceiver...

Vs. 3 & 4 SECOND SEAL: RIDER OF- RED HORSE - WAR

2. Beginning of War, revolution, bloodshed.. He is same rider as of white horse, Here his
true identity revealed...

3. Rev. 13:7; Zech. 14:1-3; Civil War

 

Vs. 5-6 THIRD SEAL: BLACK HORSE: FAMINE...

1. Matt. 24:7 - Famine

2. Food (16 T.) More costly than ordinary

3. Famine - Result of war.

a. Penny - A day's wages...
b. Measure of wheat - enough (1) meal
c. (3) Measures barley. (3) meals cheaper
d. Oil and wine. Luxureis...for rich... not hurt...(not bread of poor-rich)

4. Famine and inflation...everything sold by weight...

7. Black Horse - famine ... Jer. 14:1-2

8. A pair of balances - symbol of food conservation

 

Vs. 7-8 FOURTH SEAL: PALE HORSE: DEATH: RESULT -

1. Matt. 24:6-7 WAR

2. Pale horse symbolizes pestilence. Disease - death

3. (1/4) part of earth killed...

4. Four instruments of death:

a. Sword: War

b. Hunger: Famine

c. Death: From pestilence

d, Beast of Earth-Could be in Human Form

 

Vs. 9-11 FIFTH SEAL: CRY OF MARTYRED REMNANT:

1. Matt. 24:9, 14 -- Martyrs

2. Breaking of this seal - different from all others

3. Parallel here with Israel in Egypt...

a. A cry goes up to God for deliverance
b. Exod. 2:23-25
c. Exod. 3:7-8

4. These are tribulation saints: Sealed their testimony in
their own blood. Rev. 12:11

5. Their souls are under the altar: Brazen altar: They sacrificed their lives...
a. Hence they are saved.
b. Blood only position of safety and

6. Four things about these saints:

a. They are with Lord, under altar.

2 Cor. 5:8 willing to be absent from the body, and

to be present with the Lord,
b. They were slain for the word of God - testimony.

1. Rev. 12:11
c. They were clothed with white robes.

1. Isa. 61:10: Imputed righteousness.
d. They are crying out for vengence...

1. In this church age: To pray for enemies.

2. This tribulation...age of judgment... Matt. 5:44

7. Their resurrection is recorded:

b. They are the gleanings of the 1st resurrection

 

Vs.12-17 SIXTH SEAL: BROKEN...DISTURBANCE OF ELEMENTS

1. Matt. 24:7--29 - Physical changes

2. This is a subject of prophecy.
a. Isa. 13:6-13
b. Isa. 34: 1-4

3. V.15: Every strata of society is to be affected by the judgments of God.

 

Rev. 8:1-6 THE SEVENTH SEAL BROKEN...SILENCE:

1. Silence - The calm before the storm

2. V.3-5: The angel at the altar - L.J.C.

He signals the awful judgments that begin in the
sounding of the (7) trumpets

3. The (7) trumpets come out of the 7th vial

4. Christ answers the prayers of the saints by filling
the censer with fire. Casting to earth - judgments.

5. Parallel: Same way God delivered Israel from Egypt.
By judgments on Egypt. Plagues of trumpets - parallel this.

6. V.5 1 - Voices - God's authority...out

2 - Thunderings: God's judgment to be poured

3 - Lightenings - God's holiness
