CHAPTER SEVEN

INTRO: This is a parenthetical period of time between the breaking

of the sixth and seventh seals. There are five parenthetical
periods in the book. This is the first.

 

Vs. l-3: 

1. Here time is called out in the process of God's judgments for the sealing of the remnant.

2. Here is mercy and grace in the midst of wrath and judgment.

3. Here are four angels. Tour is earth's number. God is in complete control of the situation.

4. The angel of Verse Two is probably the Lord Jesus, Himself. (See Rev. 14:1)

Vs. 4-8 

1. Twelve thousand of each tribe are sealed.

2. Twelve is the number of government.

 

Vs. 9-17: 

1. The great blood washed multitude will be the saved of the tribulation period. 

They will be saved by refusing to bow to antichrist and placing saving faith in
shed blood of lamb.

2. They, like redeemed of all ages, are saved by the blood of Lamb. V.14

3. Contrast the sealing of the remnant, which is described in Ch. 14:3, which was prophesied by Christ in Matt. 24:31, with the sealing of antichrist recorded in 

Ch. 13:16-18
