The Master Craftsman (comparing a person who is making a clock, sanding and polishing it, to God as the Master Craftsman who polishes us to perfection for His glory)
THE MASTER CRAFTSMAN
I am a master craftsman and my workis done with pride,
as I pay extra attention to the parts
that go inside.
For one piece if left unfinished, though not seen by human eye,
will slowly crack and wear down,
and break apart by and by.
I smooth, and sand, and paint, all with extra care
every part that can be damaged
with just normal wear and tear.
And it wasn't for my lack of skill, that I found this piece no good,
for deep within its confines
a flaw lurked within the wood.
So often I was tempted to justfling it all away,
but I just couldn't give up on the piece
that I'd made today.
It was then I was remindedof another Craftsman's plan,
Who, with His love and patience,
didn't stop once He began.
For God, the Master Craftsman, doesn't throw upon the heap
every heart that's cracked or broken,
for He chooses us to keep.
Upon the Potter's wheel goesevery vessel with a crack
and He tenderly remakes us
before He puts us back.
We are polished to perfectionto begin His work anew,
and I'm thankful He won't give up
before He's made my heart brand new.

And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.Jeremiah 18:4-6
"Cannot I do with you as this potter?" saith the LORD.
"Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand.:"
