Faith Sets No Limits (One Sunday, our pastor gave an object lesson when he preached a sermon on faith. He had a lamp. Just an ordinary lamp. He set it on the pulpit and turned it on. But no light came on. He lifted the cord. It was unplugged. While he preached, he walked over to the outlet in the wall and plugged in the cord. Immediately, a brilliant light burst forth from the lamp. He did this to illustrate that no matter how much we want to do for the Lord, unless we are plugged into HIS power source, we will not be able to shine (witness) for Him. We need faith...daily faith....to be able to withstand the forces of evil around us. What does God want us to do today? Trust HIM exclusively!!! Faith has no limits when we are plugged into the only true power source...God!)
FAITH SETS NO LIMITS
What will You have me to do today?
Lord, where will You have me to go?
Show me clearly which path I'm to take.
show me what seed I'm to sow.
Lord, show me all of my shortcomings
lest they lead me in perils deep;
Lest they hinder me in my witness
and I find the path too steep.
Lifting me in Your arms, dear Lord,
taking my faith so weak,
like the mustard seed, You make it grow,
when only You, I seek.
Faith sets no limits on Your power, Lord;
Your floodgates of love open wide.
Faith plugs me into Your power source,
keeping me safe by Your side.
I'm ready to do what You want, dear Lord.
I'm ready to serve You today.
Set the priorities for my life
while I study Your Word and pray.
